The renovation of Kuznya for its tenth anniversary was not about approaching the space as a blank slate, but about working with the memory of the place. It was important to preserve its DNA: not to reinvent the restaurant, but to carefully fine-tune an already established environment.

Over the years, the restaurant had developed its own habits, rhythm, and internal logic. The project therefore required a delicate editing of details: the height of the bar counter, the varied seating levels, additional wine cabinets in the dining area, and a soft seating zone for the DJ.

The building's constraints, particularly in relation to the choice of flooring, set an important direction for the project. A continuous poured floor became both a background and a unifying element, bringing together the different parts of the interior.

Materials and objects are introduced as accents: walnut burl veneer, red marble, stainless steel — alongside vintage furniture sourced across Europe. The chairs occupy a special place, each one selected individually together with the restaurant team.

In this project, renovation becomes a form of attentive editing, where the main value lies not in novelty, but in precision — and in the ability of a space to preserve and accumulate its own history.
